Purdue workshop provided for veterans in agriculture

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Indiana AgrAbility, hosted at Purdue College, Purdue Extension and the Farmer Veteran Coalition-Indiana chapter, are internet hosting a Northwest Indiana Veteran Farmer Workshop at Pinney Purdue Agricultural Middle, 11402 S. County Line Street, in Wanatah, Indiana.

Veterans concerned with studying extra about agriculture and potential or present Indiana AgVets are invited to community throughout the Sept. 14 workshop from 10 a.m. to three p.m. (CT). Matters will embody:

  • Overview and tour of Pinney Purdue Agricultural Middle
  • Greenhouse and vegetable manufacturing enterprises
  • Farmers market alternatives
  • Excessive-tunnel manufacturing
  • Direct advertising and marketing and entrepreneurship
  • Farmer Veteran Coalition packages and alternatives
  • Indiana AgVets Certification and Internship Program
