Pipeline Foods, throughout the U-S and Canada, filed for chapter security and ceased doing enterprise in July 2021.
The Canadian Grain Commission says all eligible producers who’ve been owed money by Pipeline Foods when it filed for chapter ultimate 12 months could be completely compensated.
The Canadian Subsidiary for Pipeline had one grain provider licence and two main elevator licences in Gull Lake and Wapella, Saskatchewan.
CGC Spokesperson, Remi Gosselin says a claims course of was launched beneath the CGC’s “Safeguards for Grain Farmers Program” to compensate affected producers.
“We have now concluded the claims course of, and we’re going to issue full funds of roughly $2.2 million to 49 producers who’ve been owed money by Pipeline. These funds will cowl all eligible claims at 100%. So that’s profitable story for every the producers, and ourselves.”
He notes producers should have obtained their cheques and if not they’re throughout the mail:
Gosselin reminds producers that everytime you ship grain, search price as shortly as potential.
“When you don’t search price. You’re primarily lending your money to your grain agency. You are coated by the CGC Safeguards for Farmers Program for a 90-day interval. ”
