This fall, the Columbia Local weather College welcomes a brand new class of scholars into the M.A. in Local weather and Society program. The 12-month interdisciplinary program trains college students to know and handle the impacts of local weather change and local weather variability on society and the setting.

The incoming Class of 2023 contains 80 college students with various backgrounds and profession paths, spectacular skillsets, and large plans to assist folks and the setting.

I used to be born in Sierra Leone and grew up in Kenya and the US. Dwelling in numerous environments gave me a world perspective and an understanding of shared environments. After learning environmental science in highschool, I knew I needed to unravel environmental issues to make a world impression. Subsequently, I selected chemical engineering with a concentrate on nanotechnology and sustainability at Howard College and located profession paths that centered on making an environmental impression.

What drew you to the Local weather and Society program particularly?
