By India Immediately Internet Desk: Lieutenant General Asim Munir was chosen as Pakistan’s new Army chief on Thursday. Munir had served in Pakistan’s intelligence company, the Inter-Providers Intelligence (ISI).

He’ll succeed General Qamar Javed Bajwa, whose time period is scheduled to finish on November 29. Bajwa’s retirement comes after a three-year extension. He had dominated out in search of one other extension.

In the meantime, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was picked because the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Employees Committee (CJCSC).
