Barn in Canada blends conventional and fashionable kinds

Homeowners in Ontario, Canada employed Dory Azar Architect Inc. to re-envision what a pole barn could be, with a contemporary twist. The Highway Pole Barn is designed particularly for the location it sits on. It’s surrounded by 64 acres of farmland, an extension of the homeowners’ residence. Designed to be a relative to the homeowners’ deliberate “cool, red carriage house,” this constructing is a modern tackle a standard constructing typology. 

“The design of the project could be considered shy or introverted, as its dark and subdued elevation faces the busy highway, while the bright and tall elevation reaches out to their acres of property,” Dory Azar mentioned.

The pole barn has a single-pitch roof constructed at an angle for optimum effectivity and future set up of photo voltaic panels.
